When NetWorks was founded in 1993, we were the first to offer personal basketball training and coaching programs in Raleigh, NC and the surrounding areas. Years later, we’re still going strong!

Mike Hollis

Dr. Mike Hollis, President

Mike Hollis founded NetWorks in 1993. Before NetWorks, he coached high school, college and professional teams in Europe for the first ten years of his career. He has coached thousands of NetWorks players since 1993.

Coach Hollis grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He played basketball for four years at Liberty University where he received a degree in Christian ministries. He also holds a master’s of education from Campbell University.

Coach Hollis received is Doctorate in Education. Personal stats include: wife Beth and children Jared, Jana and Jesse.

Kevin Nunley

Kevin Nunley, Executive Director

Kevin has coached with NetWorks since 1998 and has 10 years’ experience as a collegiate coach, including the following:

  • Head Women’s Basketball Coach: John Carroll University, University Heights, OH (Division III)
  • Head Women’s Basketball Coach: Newberry College, Newberry, SC (Division II)
  • Assistant Men’s Coach: St. Andrew’s College, Laurinburg, NC (Division II)
  • Assistant Men’s Coach: Santa Fe Community College, Gainesville, FL (Junior College)
  • Assistant Men’s Coach: Coastal Carolina University, Conway, SC (Division I)

He was educated at the University of Arkansas 1986 (physical education) and Kent State University 1988 (sports adminstration).

Kevin and his wife, Kim, have two children: Carrie Nielander (University of South Carolina) and Adam Nielander (California Tech). He attends Hope Community Church and is a cancer survivor (2004).

Alex Daniels, Lead Coach, Skill Instruction

Alex has coached with NetWorks since 2008. He is an Elementary Math teacher with Wake County Public Schools.

His coaching experience consists of: Assistant Varsity Coach, Sanderson High School; Junior Varsity Girls Coach, Apex High School; Junior Varsity Girls Coach, Sanderson High School and Middle School Boys Coach, Grace Christian School.

Beth Wurst, Office Manager and Program Coordinator

Beth Wurst is the office manager at NetWorks, Inc. and has been with the company for seven years. She is also the Program Co-ordinator for NetWorks’ “Because I Can” Character at Work through Physical Education program, also known as the “Ballhandling Clubs” or “BCs.” Beth is a graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She lives in Apex with her husband, Kurt, and two daughters, Kathryn and Alyssa.
